¶ Installments and leasing - online financed purchases
Installments and leasing in Hummerce let a customer spread a purchase into installments or finance it with leasing directly from the cart, without looking for financing outside the store. The platform integrates three independent deferred-payment options - LeaseLink (leasing, including for businesses), Santander eRaty (consumer installments) and Ratepay (purchase on invoice and direct debit in the German market) - each is set up and settled separately, depending on the agreement with the provider.
Last updated: 2026-09-29 (payment integrations from older platform versions).
¶ Benefits and use cases
- A sales argument for more expensive items - the customer doesn't have to pay the whole amount at once, which reduces cart abandonment.
- LeaseLink - consumer and business leasing; the submission can include company data (NIP - Polish company tax ID, name), so it also fits B2B purchases.
- Santander eRaty - consumer installments, a common choice for more expensive retail orders.
- Ratepay - purchase on invoice and direct debit (Lastschrift) in the German market, recognizing whether the order is a business order based on the company data on it. Ratepay does not offer installments.
- The customer fills in the financing application after placing the order - the order itself isn't blocked by choosing this payment, which reduces cart abandonment.
- The customer can cancel the application at any point and choose a different payment.
- Each option is a separate payment method configured in the panel (Configuration -> Payments), with its own symbol, order-value limit and list of Views it's available in.
- With LeaseLink and Santander, after placing the order the customer is redirected to the provider's system, where they finish the financing application - the order's payment status only changes once the provider responds.
- Payment statuses are imported from the provider's system by a scheduled task (e.g. importing LeaseLink statuses, checking application status in the Santander eRaty system).
- The payment button redirects the customer to the LeaseLink system ("Pay with LeaseLink"); once the process is finished, the order gets a payment status matching LeaseLink's response (e.g. a completed application sets the payment as paid).
- The submission can include company data (NIP, name) - the module supports leasing for both individual customers and businesses.
- A product category can have its own leasing terms level, set as a category parameter.
¶ Santander (eRaty)
- The payment button redirects the customer to the Santander system ("Pay with E-Raty"); the integration uses the bank's service and requires a certificate exchanged with the bank.
- A scheduled task checks application status in the eRaty system and updates the order's payment status.
¶ Ratepay (purchase on invoice and direct debit)
- Supports two forms of payment: purchase on invoice (a deferred payment, settled with the customer by Ratepay) and direct debit (Lastschrift, using the customer's bank account details). They are two separate payments in the store.
- Intended for the German market. Installments are not available - the module supports only invoice and direct debit.
- The customer enters the data on the payment page in the store, without a redirect to Ratepay: date of birth (private person), phone number, and for businesses the VAT number and company name; for direct debit also the bank account details. Ratepay may reject the order - the customer can then change the payment.
- It recognizes whether the order is a business order (based on the company name on it) and processes it differently with the provider.
- Address data, contact details and the salutation of the addressee are mapped from the order's data.
- When the order gets the delivery status "delivered", the store passes the delivery confirmation to Ratepay.
- Configuration in the panel, in the RatePAY group: mode (test / production), profile ID and security code.
All three integrations come from older platform versions - the payment modules have worked for a long time, with no newer changes recorded in version announcements.
- An agreement and access data with the chosen provider (LeaseLink, Santander, Ratepay) - arranged by the store directly with the provider.
- Space for the installment/leasing information on the product card and in the cart - a store template adjustment.
- The scheduled task for importing payment status, enabled in the configuration.
- Each integration requires its own implementation - it doesn't turn on by itself after an update.
- Scope per integration: configuring the payment module (provider service addresses, test/production mode, access data), setting up the payment in the panel (order-value limit, views), adapting the space for installment/leasing information in the template, enabling the status-import task, testing on a test environment.
- Minimum estimated time: LeaseLink or Santander eRaty - from 16 h, Ratepay - from 40 h, not counting time waiting for access data from the provider and without template changes beyond the standard space for the installment information. The time for a specific implementation depends on its scope - we quote it individually.
- What the time depends on:
- the number of chosen integrations (LeaseLink, Santander, Ratepay),
- how much the installment/leasing information in the template needs to be customized,
- the number of views and currencies the integration needs to work in,
- the store version - an older version needs an update first (quoted separately).
- With LeaseLink and Santander the customer doesn't finish the financing application in the store itself - they finish it in the provider's system, after being redirected.
- Ratepay: installments are not available, only purchase on invoice and direct debit; the service covers the German market, and the cart value limit comes from the agreement with Ratepay.
- Ratepay may reject an order under its own risk assessment; the module does not support cancellation or refunds on the Ratepay side.
- Order-value limits and financing terms (installments, interest) are set by the provider together with the store when signing the agreement - they aren't fixed platform values.
- No combined overview or comparison of installment and leasing offers on one page - each integration works independently, with its own payment button.
- The availability of each integration depends on the agreement with the provider and its coverage, not on the platform itself.
- We do not verify the configuration for legal compliance - credit and leasing terms are set by the financing provider, under its own regulations.
- A combined view comparing installments/leasing on the product card, instead of separate payment buttons.
- A preliminary installment calculator visible on the product card, without going to the provider's system.
Does Hummerce support buying in installments and on leasing?
Yes, through integrations with LeaseLink (leasing) and Santander eRaty (consumer installments). Ratepay adds purchase on invoice and direct debit in the German market, without installments - each integration is set up separately.
Is leasing also available for businesses?
Yes. LeaseLink supports both consumer and business leasing - the submission can include company data (NIP, name).
Does the customer finish the installment application in the store or with the provider?
With the provider. After placing the order, the customer is redirected to the LeaseLink or Santander system, where they finish the financing application. With Ratepay the customer enters the data on the payment page in the store.
Does Ratepay allow paying in installments?
No. In Hummerce, Ratepay supports purchase on invoice and direct debit (Lastschrift) in the German market.
Does the store set the installment and leasing value limits itself?
Within the terms agreed with the provider - the minimum and maximum order value is configured separately for each payment method.
How long does setting up one of the installment integrations take?
LeaseLink or Santander eRaty - from 16 h, Ratepay - from 40 h, not counting time waiting for access data from the provider - the exact time depends on how much the template needs to be adapted.
