¶ GPSR - producer data on the producer card

GPSR - producer data in Hummerce lets you add and display address and contact data for the producer on the producer card in the store, and - when the producer operates from outside the European Union - also the data of the responsible party, i.e. the importer or the authorised representative in the EU. The implementation reuses the producer object and the property mechanism that already exist in Hummerce, without building new data structures.

Publishing producer data (name, address, contact) on the producer card in the store, without building a new mechanism - it reuses the existing producer object and properties.
Support for producers based outside the EU - the option to add the data of the responsible party (importer or authorised representative) next to the producer's data.
Fast setup - a ready-made set of properties is imported from a configuration file instead of being created one by one by hand.

¶ How it works

¶ Basic implementation

The basic implementation reuses producers that already exist in Hummerce: it adds extra properties with the address data of the producer and the responsible party, then displays them on the producer card in the store.

¶ Property import

The properties already existing on the producer are reused: Company name, Street and number, Postal code, City, Country, Email, Phone.
The responsible party's properties are added by importing a ready-made configuration file (see Configuration details).
Before importing, check whether these properties are not already assigned to the producer's administrative data location - otherwise duplicates will be created.

The producer's address.
The responsible party's data - only when the property is filled in.
Changing how this data is displayed requires a separate implementation task in each store.

¶ Dependencies

Requires a configured producer object in the product catalog - GPSR data consists of properties assigned to the producer, not to a single product.

¶ Implementation

The basic implementation (importing the properties and showing the data on the producer card) requires an implementation task in the store - it is not a self-service panel setting. The scope depends on whether the store stops at the basic implementation or needs the advanced solutions (see Future development). The source does not state a minimum time for this implementation.

¶ Limitations

The basic implementation reuses the existing producer object - the data is assigned to the producer, not to a single product or to a specific factory.
Changing how the data is displayed on the producer card requires an implementation task in each store - it cannot be changed on your own from the panel.
We do not verify the task for legal compliance - the store is responsible for full compliance with the GPSR regulation and for the accuracy of producer data.

Beyond the basic implementation, as extensions implemented individually:

Displaying the producer's and the responsible party's address data directly on the product card.
Separate objects holding producer and responsible-party data, independent of today's producers (brands) - useful when several factories operate under one producer, or one responsible party covers several producers.
Producer and responsible-party data defined per product instead of per producer.
Importing producer data from ERP systems.
Producer data in product feeds - useful when sales happen directly on external marketplaces.
Sending producer data to marketplaces, e.g. via Baselinker; the Hummerce integration with Allegro already supports sending producer data.
PDF instruction manuals - as a property or as a file in the repository linked to the product.

¶ Frequently asked questions

Does Hummerce itself check producer data for compliance with the GPSR regulation?
No. The store lets you add and display the required data, but the store is responsible for its completeness and legal compliance.

Can the responsible party's data be provided when the producer operates from outside the EU?
Yes. The basic implementation adds separate properties for the responsible party's data - the importer or authorised representative in the EU.

Can producer data be shown directly on the product card, and not only on the producer card?
Not in the standard version - in the standard version the data is visible on the producer card. Showing it on the product card is an extension implemented individually.

¶ Access in the admin panel

Producer and responsible-party data is filled in when editing the producer in the panel - the properties are assigned to the producerAdminDetails location (the producer's administrative data) and producerShopDetails (data displayed in the store).
