Wishlist in Hummerce lets a customer mark a product on a list or product page and return to it later, without searching the store again. It works for both a guest and a logged-in customer, and both lists merge after login. It's a simple way to remind customers of products they viewed but didn't buy right away.
Last updated: 2026-09-29. Wishlist is a core platform feature - available in all current store versions.
¶ Benefits and use cases
- Return to saved products without searching again - the customer marks a product once and comes back to it from a separate list.
- Works for guests too - the list is saved in the browser even before an account is created, which encourages registration to keep it permanently.
- Quick add to cart directly from the wishlist, without opening the product page.
- Favourites icon and tab in the store header (Bootstrap 5 template) - the list is always within reach.
¶ Adding and removing a product
- The Add to favourites button is shown on the product list and on the product page; once clicked, it turns into Remove from favourites, and the customer gets the confirmation "Item has been added to your favourites!".
- A product can be removed from the list at any time with the Remove from favourites button.
- A product is added to the cart directly from the wishlist, without opening its product page.
¶ Guest and logged-in customer
- Not logged in - the list is stored in a browser cookie.
- Logged in - the list is stored permanently on the customer account and available at every later login.
- Products marked as favourites before creating an account are added to the customer's list after login - repeated products aren't duplicated.
- The Favourites tab in the store header only appears once the customer has at least one product on the list.
- The list looks like a standard category list, with pagination - it has no sorting or filtering of its own; the order follows the products' assignment to the main category.
Wishlist is a core platform feature - available in all current store versions, in the Bootstrap 5 and Bootstrap 4 template.
- Requires the wishlist button and icon in the store template (standard in Bootstrap 5 and Bootstrap 4).
- Remembering a logged-out guest's list depends on cookie support in the customer's browser.
- Wishlist works after an update - it's part of the platform and doesn't require implementation in the standard configuration.
- Changing how the guest list is stored, or other module settings, requires editing the module's configuration file - these aren't in the Configuration -> Settings panel.
- Minimum estimated time: changing module settings - from 1 h.
- What the time depends on: whether the change also requires template changes (e.g. a different look for the button or the Favourites tab).
- Works for regular products (articles) - doesn't work for product variants (Variants - article and sub-items).
- Doesn't save the configuration of personalized or configurable products - only the product itself.
- The list can't be shared on social media or via a link - the data is only available in the customer's profile.
- The list has no sorting or filtering of its own - the order follows the products' assignment to the main category.
- Store staff have no view of individual customers' wishlists in the panel.
- We do not verify the task for legal compliance (e.g. licenses of submitted materials, GDPR, store terms of service).
- A view of customers' wishlists in the admin panel.
- Support for variants and personalized/configurable products on the wishlist.
- Sorting and filtering the wishlist.
- Sharing the wishlist (link, social media).
Can a logged-out customer use the wishlist?
Yes. The guest list is stored in a browser cookie, and once the customer creates an account and logs in, it's added to their customer list.
Does the wishlist merge after login with a list saved earlier as a guest?
Yes. Products from the guest list are added to the customer's list, without duplicates.
Can a product variant or a configured product be added to the wishlist?
No. The wishlist works for regular products (articles) - it doesn't save variants or the configuration of personalized products.
Can store staff see in the panel which products customers have on their wishlist?
No. The wishlist is only visible on the customer side of the store.
How long does it take to implement wishlist changes?
The feature itself works after an update, without implementation. Changing module settings (e.g. how the guest list is stored) - from 1 h.

No view in the admin panel - the wishlist is only visible on the customer side of the store. Module settings (the name of the property storing the list, cookie storage) are in the module's configuration file, edited during implementation.
