¶ Delivery calendar - choosing a shipping and delivery date
The delivery calendar in Hummerce lets the customer pick a convenient shipping or delivery date for their order - on the product page and in the cart - taking business days, blocked days and the order cut-off time into account. The store calculates the earliest possible date itself, and the customer can choose a later date from the calendar.

¶ Benefits and use cases
- The customer sees the exact, calculated fulfillment date already on the product page and in the cart - less "when will I get my parcel" uncertainty.
- The customer can match the delivery date to their own schedule by picking a date from the calendar instead of waiting for the earliest possible one.
- The store automatically skips non-business days and blocked days (holidays, warehouse downtime) when calculating the date.
- The cut-off time tells the customer by what time they need to place the order for it to ship the same day.
- For pre-sale items, the date takes their release date into account.
- Fewer uncollected parcels and fewer delivery-date questions to store staff, thanks to a clearly shown date already at the point of purchase.
- The store calculates the earliest possible shipping date from the current moment, taking into account: the shipping delay for a given item, optionally an extra delay for items not in stock, the order cut-off time, and blocked and non-business days.
- The delivery date is the shipping date plus the delivery delay specific to the chosen delivery method, taking that method's allowed days of the week into account.
- For pre-sale items, the date can't be earlier than their release date.
- An item can have an assigned cut-off time group (extra time needed for preparation), and each delivery method has its own cut-off time.
- For a cart with several items, the most demanding (earliest) cut-off time among the products in the cart applies.
- Days blocked for shipping or delivery (holidays, technical downtime) are set up as separate entries, each with an optional calendar background and tooltip.
- Calculation results are cached briefly (a few minutes), so they aren't recalculated on every page visit.
- In the Bootstrap 4 and Bootstrap 5 templates, the customer sees a field with the proposed date; clicking it opens a calendar in a modal window with unavailable days greyed out.
- The widget works in two modes: a simple date picker (when the store only shows the shipping date) or a full calendar with delivery country and delivery method selection in the same window (when the store shows a date tied to a specific delivery method).
- The widget appears both on the product page and in the cart / order summary; the chosen date is saved on the order.
Calculating the shipping and delivery date (business days, cut-off time, blocked days) is a core platform feature, available in all current versions. The version in which the cart and product-page calendar widget was introduced isn't stated in the available sources.
- The Bootstrap 4 or Bootstrap 5 store template - the calendar widget is ready-made in them.
- Shipping delays and cut-off time groups filled in on items (optional).
- The warehouse module, if stock-availability checking is enabled for date calculation.
- The pre-sale module - for item release dates.
- Delivery methods with allowed days and delivery delay configured - Delivery methods overview.
- Basic date calculation works after an update - business days, delays and the cut-off time are configured in the panel.
- Requires implementation: adjusting the widget in a template other than Bootstrap 4 or Bootstrap 5, filling in blocked dates and calendar backgrounds, configuring warehouse and pre-sale date checks.
- Minimum estimated time:
- configuring business days, delays and the cut-off time in a ready-made template (Bootstrap 4 or 5) - from 2 h,
- adjusting the widget in another template - quoted individually.
- What the time depends on: the store template, the number of delivery methods and their separate date settings, the need for warehouse and pre-sale integration.
- The calendar widget is ready-made in the Bootstrap 4 and Bootstrap 5 templates - other templates need adjustments.
- Checking warehouse availability when calculating the date is an option that's off by default.
- The cut-off time and delays are calculated for the whole cart together, as the most demanding value - not separately for each line item.
- Blocked days have to be filled in manually - the store doesn't automatically fetch a holiday calendar.
- We do not verify the task for legal compliance (e.g. licenses of submitted materials, GDPR, store terms of service).
- Automatically filling in public holidays.
- A tighter link between the date and the availability of a specific warehouse in stores with multiple warehouses - Warehouse.
Does the customer see the delivery date already on the product page?
Yes, along with the option to pick another available date from the calendar.
Does the calendar take days off and holidays into account?
Yes, if they've been entered as blocked days in the panel - the store doesn't fetch them automatically.
Does the date depend on the chosen delivery method?
Yes - each delivery method can have its own delay and its own allowed days of the week.
Does the calendar widget work in every store template?
It's ready-made in the Bootstrap 4 and Bootstrap 5 templates; other templates need adjustments.
How long does it take to set up the delivery calendar in a ready-made template?
From 2 h - that's configuring business days, delays and the cut-off time in the panel.
Does the store check warehouse availability when calculating the date?
Only once the relevant setting is enabled - it's off by default.

¶ REST API and MCP
- No dedicated methods. The calculated shipping and delivery date is saved as order properties, available through the general REST API for order properties.
The text above the date field on the product page is canvas-type content, editable the same way as other product-page content - properties and locations. The calendar widget's own labels (e.g. the button that opens the calendar) are store messages, editable in the message editor.
