The Hummerce integration with Megacennik (megacennik.eu) automatically fills product cards with data from producers in the electrical industry: ETIM technical parameters, descriptions, keywords, images, downloadable files and weights. The store matches products by EAN code and refreshes the data on a schedule, so your team does not enter it by hand.

¶ Benefits and use cases
- Less manual data entry - product descriptions, parameters and images come from producers instead of being retyped from catalogues.
- Complete technical parameters for the electrical industry - ETIM parameters appear on the product card, so customers can search and filter the range by technical features in search and filters.
- Documents next to the product - the product data sheet, certificates, manuals and declarations are available for download on the product card.
- Up-to-date data without team effort - the store regularly checks Megacennik for product data changes.
- Control on the store side - data download can be switched off for selected products, and the parameters to be downloaded are marked with an ETIM symbol.
Megacennik is a wholesale product database of producers from the electrical and electrotechnical industry, made available to wholesalers through an API. It contains descriptions, ETIM parameters, images, downloadable files and producer data. It is a product data source, not a price comparison site or a sales channel.
¶ Where products come from and how they are matched
- Products and their symbols (indexes) come from the store's ERP system - the Megacennik integration does not create them, it only enriches existing cards. ERP integrations are described in the integrations catalogue.
- Matching by EAN code - the store asks Megacennik for a product by EAN (alternatively by catalogue number).
- The producer must be set on the product - so the store first imports producers and only then the data of their products.
- The implementation covers single products, without articles with variants.
- Producer - the name assigned to the product.
- ETIM technical parameters - values go to the product parameters in the store. Multi-value parameters and range values (e.g. voltage 230-250 V) are supported and stored as short text.
- Description and keywords - the description (HTML) is saved in a separate product parameter, and keywords go to the page meta tags. The Megacennik description is shown on the product page only when the product has no long description of its own.
- Images - downloaded from the address given by Megacennik, scaled and saved as WebP. When the main image is missing, the store uses the second one; when there is none, the product stays without an image and the rest of the data is still downloaded.
- Downloadable files - the product data sheet first, then certificates, manuals and declarations. File management is described in File and image manager.
- Weights - gross weight, or net weight when gross is missing.
Each product parameter has an additional ETIM symbol. A parameter with a filled symbol is completed from Megacennik, one with an empty symbol is not. The parameter must exist in the store before the import. You manage parameters in Properties and locations.
¶ Direction and frequency
- The integration works one way - from Megacennik to the store. The store sends neither orders nor stock levels to Megacennik.
- Scheduled tasks - the producer import and the product import run every 7 days; a separate task imports images.
- Manual run - the tasks are visible in the admin panel and can be started on demand.
- Integration status - the panel shows received messages and the latest errors.
- Order - product import from the ERP, producer import, product data import.
A parameter on the product can switch off the download of Megacennik data (the download is on by default). The store also sets it automatically when Megacennik returns no data for a given EAN code, e.g. for a withdrawn or unknown product.
The integration is implemented as a project - we confirm the Hummerce version during implementation analysis.
- Access to the Megacennik API - a key and a list of registered store server addresses.
- Products in the store with a unique EAN code and a producer set.
- An ERP integration that supplies products and their symbols.
- Product parameters created in the store and marked with ETIM symbols.
- The integration requires a project implementation - it is not a standard module switched on after an update. It covers connecting the API, starting the scheduled tasks, creating and mapping ETIM parameters, adjusting the product card and testing on sample products.
- Minimum estimated time: from 40 h. The time for a specific implementation depends on its scope - we quote it individually.
- What the time depends on:
- the number of ETIM parameters to map and their match with store parameters,
- the quality and uniqueness of EAN codes in the store,
- the ERP integration that supplies the products,
- product card adjustments (description, downloadable files, images),
- the number of store languages and the Hummerce version.
- On the store side - your team's work to choose the parameters to download and to verify data on sample products.
- Data quality depends on Megacennik and the producers: the main image may be missing, file names may repeat, and withdrawn products have no data.
- The EAN code must be unique in the store - when two products share an EAN, no data is downloaded for them.
- For a product for which Megacennik returns no data, the download is switched off automatically.
- A parameter must exist in the store and have an ETIM symbol - new parameters do not appear on their own.
- Renaming a value in Megacennik (e.g. "Stal" to "stalowy") requires a re-import.
- JPG images are downloaded; other formats (TIF, PNG, WebP) are not.
- Large updates usually take 5-10 minutes and sometimes over an hour. Mass image downloads may be temporarily limited on the Megacennik side.
- The Megacennik API works for registered server addresses - changing the store server requires registering the new address with Megacennik.
- The integration does not send data to Megacennik, including product addresses for sales channels.
- We do not verify the task for compliance with the law (e.g. licences of supplied materials, GDPR, store terms).
- Incremental import of changes instead of scheduled polling.
- Support for products with variants.
- Download of further image formats.
- Adding downloadable files from the admin panel.
Does Hummerce integrate with Megacennik?
Yes. The integration is implemented as a project and fills product cards with producer data from Megacennik.
How does the store match products to data in Megacennik?
By EAN code. Products and their symbols come from the ERP, and Megacennik only enriches the cards. The EAN code must be unique in the store.
Does the integration send data from the store to Megacennik?
No. It works one way - from Megacennik to the store. Orders and stock levels are not sent.
How often is the data refreshed?
Every 7 days, and the tasks can also be started manually in the admin panel.
Can I switch off the download for a selected product?
Yes. A parameter on the product switches the download off, and the parameters downloaded from Megacennik are marked with an ETIM symbol.
How long does implementation take?
From 40 h. The exact time depends on, among other things, the number of ETIM parameters and the ERP integration.

- Scheduled tasks - producer import, product import (every 7 days) and a separate image import task; can be started manually.
- Integration status - received messages and the latest errors.
- Product parameters - an additional ETIM symbol on each parameter downloaded from Megacennik and a parameter that switches off the download for a product; managed in Properties and locations.
¶ REST API and MCP
The integration works through scheduled tasks and the admin panel - independently of the REST API and the AI assistant (MCP).
