The store terms of service in Hummerce is an ordinary static page with legal content that the customer must accept with a mandatory checkbox when registering, setting up a company account, and placing an order. The terms of service content opens in a modal window, without leaving the form - so the customer doesn't lose the data they've already entered.

The terms of service content is an ordinary Html-type static page - with its own symbol (in the standard configuration, e.g. regulations), a title, and content in the WYSIWYG editor. When pasting in ready-made text (e.g. from a *.doc file), it's worth checking and cleaning up the formatting in source mode.
acceptRegulations, of the Static content / HTML kind.ec_modalPage class and the attributes data-toggle="modal", data-target="#regulationsModal", href="/do/popup/<terms page symbol>" - clicking the link opens the page's content in a modal window, without reloading the page and without leaving the form.acceptRegulations content is embedded in the standard forms: individual customer registration, company account registration and creation, and the order step - in both the Bootstrap 4 and Bootstrap 5 templates. The mechanism relies on static pages and content - core platform features, available in all current Hummerce versions.
acceptRegulations content (and any other places that reference it) - otherwise the link stops working.Does a customer have to accept the terms of service to create an account or place an order?
Yes. The acceptance checkbox is mandatory at individual customer registration, company registration, and order placement.
Can I edit the terms of service myself, without a developer?
Yes. The terms of service is an ordinary static page edited in the panel, in the WYSIWYG editor.
Does the terms of service open in a new browser tab?
No. It opens in a modal window on the same page, without leaving the form being filled in.
Does the mechanism check whether the terms-of-service content complies with the law?
No. The terms-of-service content and its compliance with regulations is prepared and approved by the store.
Can the same mechanism be used for other documents, e.g. a privacy policy?
Partly. The static page and the link opened in a modal window can be duplicated for other content, but the ready-made checkbox in the standard forms covers the terms of service by default.
How long does it take to add or change the terms of service in a store?
Changing content on an existing page - self-service, no implementation needed. Attaching the checkbox to a new form is quoted individually after reviewing the scope.
